The Sally Chronicles: Om Yogi's - Sunset Yoga with Ryan Lier

Did you hear me?   I om"ed so that you would be sure to hear my vibration back in North Carolina!

What a perfect end to my weekend inVancouver.  Sunset yoga with Ryan Lier and 5,000 yogi's (now that is some breathing).  We were in Stanley park surrounded by the ocean on one side and the mountains on the other.  Wow!!!

Enjoy the pictures my friend's and feel the vibration.   Namaste!

The Sally Chronicles: Whoo Hoooo Awesome Run! SeaWheeze 2013 Run "Check"

What a perfect day for a run, overcast and in the high 60's here in Vancouver!   I had an incredible and very fun 21.1k run!!!  I am now glowing in my runners high.

The Start corrals we were buzzing with the energy and the nerves.  As we were set to go the cheers and noise from all the spectators and the residents who came out on their balconies to cheer our start were so loud that the street was vibrating.  We were off at 7:00 am sharp and there were so many people it took at least one hour for everyone to start!

The first cheer station was at 5K it was  Buddhist monks and a karate school of children busting out their kick and karate chops!!!   So many things to be seen on the entire course, their were Canadian Mounty's, Viking warriors, Drags Queens, mermaids, paddle boarders on the bay cheering, and yes Sasquatch and random sea creatures were also visible on the course.  Note: big old "Squatch" could not catch me!

We ran through the city of Vancouver up the bleeping Burrard St Bridge (note to bridge bite me), then we were on the beautiful sea wall in Stanley park.  Incredible views, off the sea wall I spotted the mermaids on the rocks and then we looped back into the city for the finish line and swag.

I collected my finishers medal, scull candy ear phones (thats right!!!) and water and headed for the runners breakfast.  Wowza, what a spread, fruit, waffles, quiche , muffins, whew I am stuffed.

Going to take a walk around the city to see what I can see and then I will be off to the party in Stanley park tonight with yoga and several bands , It should be a great time.

The Sally Chronicles: IT's GAME TIME!!!!

Good Morning!  Yogi's!  I am up with the seagulls this morning. Its 5:30am in Vancouver and I am ready to tear through the streets of Vancouver.  The starting gun goes off at 7:00 am sharp and I along with 10,000 of my new friends will hit the streets!

I feel like that greyhound that is ready for the rabbit to be let loose.   I am ready to RUN!

Stay tuned for more after the race!!  We have in Stanley Park tonight with 5,000 people!

The Sally Chronicles: Hello GSO ! Live from the 2013 Sea Wheeze party

Well no surprise here, but Lululemon puts on one hell of a party.  This morning was race package pickup and being the ESW (experienced Sea Wheezer) I got to the package pickup line by 7:15 starbucks in hand, they open 8:00 only to see thousands of people already in line!!! Gulp.

Once the doors opened I had my race packet by 8:30 (note picture of me and LuLu's Stacey at the pickup kiosk) Yes , this year once again our timing chip has "Chip's " face on it again.

Then I was on to the Lululemon Sea Wheeze exclusive store for retail therapy!!!!  I had my shopping strategy before entering and with military like precision (I am talking seal team six here) I had my 15 items (limit) and was through the checkout by 9:30 and on to the party.

I took advantage of the manicure station (whew these nails were a "hot mess") thanks LuLu!  from there I went and got an airbrush tattoo of a mermaid with yoga , run, party next to it.

Soon after all my pampering it was time for the parade of "Pace Beavers" they should be easy to spot tomorrow with their neon ears and tails!!

So much to do, smoothies, tea, popcorn, and lounging around in the luon lounge.

Enjoy the pictures GSO and put this on your bucket list, too fun to miss and Vancouver is like a picture postcard

The Sally Chronicles: Planes , Trains and the Wheezzzzz!!

Whew!  I made it and am in Vancouver, my room has a view of the water so beautiful.  Well today was certainly an "interesting" travel day:)  My connecting flight in Chicago was 3 hours late taking off because the "Captain" went missing.  Hmmm did they not realize when we all had boarded that there was one seat not yet occupied and it happened to be the seat of the guy who fly's the aircraft?

Well we waited for him.  Now in my book I think that 2 first officers should equal a Captain and we should be able to leave.  lol  They did not see it that way!

My in flight movie that I rented on my IPAD was "The Caller" great movie , scared the "bleep" out of me.  Sat with my hands over my face peeking at my Ipad in several parts of the movie!  Go rent it!

Took a walk to stretch my legs after I checked in.  Walked to the water and sat and had a delightful espresso.  Then walked by the Fairmount Pacific Rim hotel around the corner.  Sad, RIP Cory Monteith.

Going to turn in early since I am still on East coast time and race packet pick up is bright and early tomorrow am.

Good Night GSO

Good Sunday morning MBFY.  Just finished my 8 mile tempo run, great morning for a run.  note did not see Sasquatch but am sure to be able to out run him in Vancouver.   Countdown to the SeaWheeze, 6 days until race day.    I thought I would share some of my favorite running "props" from the top
